We need contributors.

We are planning to bring up a tool to support Data First DevOps. This would need quite a lot of work, including, project management, product ownership, development, testing, UI/UX.

Feel free to join the LinkedIn gourp for discussion and queries. Click here to register your name for contributing for the initiative.

Why?

Let's start with Why. What is the purpose of this new tool? To ensure people can implement DFD natively, instead of just understanding and building the boiler plate things on their own, every time.

This will help them start using DFD, with the basics of it by default. Further they should be able to build on top of it as per their own need.

What?

We need would launch this tool as open source software. So we basically need contributors, who would be contributing to a OSS. There are two possible type of people can contribute into it.

Experts

Experts can help the team to understand why something is right or wrong and how something should be done in a better way. They can also own up the work along with some help, given by other members.

Explorers

This is basically for those who are looking for a learning opportunity by doing something for a real life solution. If you think, you are a senior developer and want to play a role of lead, or you are a lead and want to play a role of architect, or if you are aspiring BA and wants to make you hand dirty, or you wanna try out your UX/UI skills, or you are new into test automation and looking to do something to sharpen your skill, you can join as explorer. If we have experts from your category, you would be guided by them. So it will be a learning opportunity for you.

Just know that it's contribution and you will not be paid for your work.

Who?

Below are the roles we need people for:

  1. Architect
  2. Lead developer
  3. Developers
  4. UX/UI designer
  5. Test automation engineers
  6. Business analyst
  7. Product owner
  8. DevOps engineer
  9. Project Manager
  10. Technical documentation writer
  11. Performance tester

How?

If you think you are interested, you can fill the form by clicking here.

If you think, you would not be able to contribute actively, then send it to someone who you think would be interested. Also, please share this in your social network. That is a great help.

Special Note

If you are college student, feel free join and contribute. It will be a great opportunity to work with industry members and gain experience. Also, contribution to an Open Source Software will add weight to your resume. In fact, that adds weight to anyone's resume.
